STEALTH PATCH NOTES:

They have done a fix to the network handshake and the need for the server to call back to client directly, meaning those behind more restrictive firewalls should be fine as long as your firewall allows TCP connections outbound and establish. This should reduce the need to open ports and set up strange routes to get the game to work.

On the other hand, because the server does not call back directly any more, it may open the way for MITM type attacks and possible other hacks although I am not sure yet as I haven't dug in to it too deeply yet.
